A group of Salmonberry kids found a dead bird on the nature trail earlier this week. They decided to have a funeral, and carefully placed stones around the bird so that nobody would step on it on the trail.

Returning after winter break, the Salmonberry Room enjoyed a candle-lit lunchtime and rest time, and read “We Celebrate the Light”. They discussed the different celebrations of light their families engaged in over break.
